Evoke Style, Stuyvesant Plaza's newest women's boutique, hosted a casual evening of networking and fashion to support the Women's Fund. Owner Sandra Dollard (pictured second from the left below) provided shoppers with delicious refreshments and a 10 percent discount on all purchases. At the end of the evening, the Fund received a donation of 10 percent of total sales during the event.
The Women's Fund of the Capital Region is grateful for Sandra's generosity and for the opportunity to introduce Evoke customers to our programs.

We’re moving up with the new Women’s Fund Education Initiative. 75 people found out more about this initiative in an upbeat setting with friends old and new on Thursday, November 4, from 5:30 - 8:00 p m at Glennpeter Diamond Centre, 1544 Central Ave. in Colonie. They enjoyed:
- Sushi, hors d’oeuvres, & cash bar refreshments
- Silent auction and Chinese raffle
- Door prizes

The 260 people who attended this Key4Women Forum learned why “Now Is Not the Time to Retreat” from either your business or personal financial life. They were motivated and inspired by Nadja Piatka’s amazing story of taking a company out of her kitchen and creating a multimillion dollar food company. Nadja made her dream come true. Armed only with an idea and a $100 investment, she became an international supplier to Subway, McDonald's, Giant, Wegmans and other nutrition-conscious customers.

New York First Lady Michelle Paige Paterson recently toured the Equinox Domestic Violence Shelter in Albany, highlighting the need for such programs — including those funded by The Women's Fund — to break the cycle of abuse in families.
