How the Women’s Fund Works
The Women’s Fund raises monies through our signature Trailblazer Awards Luncheon, appeal campaigns and other events. We provide grants to support scholarships and emergency funds for motivated but struggling women students to achieve their degree goals. Committed to career advancement through higher education, they still face obstacles to degree completion as they juggle home, work and school.
Prior to 2010, we made a difference in the lives of women and girls in our region through grants to non-profit organizations that provided services and support to women and girls. Women often face discrimination, domestic violence, difficulty finding high quality child care and inadequate employment training. From 2007 to 2010, the Women’s Fund supported projects that help overcome these obstacles.
