How You Can Help

There are many ways for you to help make a difference in the lives of women or girls right in your community:

• Become a Women's Fund volunteer and join a committee:
  • Grants
    This group solicits grant applications and recommends projects for funding by the fund.

  • Marketing - Communications
    This group coordinates media outreach efforts and produces all marketing materials, including a brochure, semi-annual newsletters and a web site.

  • Marketing - Events
    This group organizes special events, including the spring Moving Mountains luncheon, and selects event dates/venues, secures sponsorships and produces invitations.

  • Resource Development
    This group develops and implements an annual operating plan to raise the financial resources to meet the responsibilities of the fund.

  • Volunteer Opportunities/Development
    This group organizes volunteer opportunities to support the fund mission.

• Become a Founding 500 Member

• Donate to the Women's Fund

• Learn about volunteer opportunities that benefit women and girls in the Capital Region

• Host a small gathering for your friends and colleagues. A member of the Steering Committee can provide a short presentation about the Fund and answer any questions. If you are interested in hosting a gathering, please contact Amy Clinton at AClinton@unitedwaygcr.org or (518) 456-2200 ext. 122.
