Second Trailblazer Luncheon Over 300 people who share the Women’s Fund’s belief in giving back and making a difference in the lives of women and girls attended at our second annual Trailblazer Luncheon at The Desmond Hotel and Conference Center on June 3, 2008.
At this luncheon, we honored the three outstanding Trailblazing Women of 2008 in recognition of their philanthropy: Sister Constance Casey, snjm, President and CEO of the Academy of the Holy Names; Jane Golub, Director of Vendor Marketing Programs, Price Chopper Supermarkets; and Candace King Weir, President, C.L. King & Associates, Inc.

The Women’s Fund 2008 grant awardees also were announced at the luncheon. These included:
A total of $ 46,000 was awarded to these five impressive collaborative programs focused on helping women and girls achieve success. For more information about the our second grant recipients, please click here. The event raised more than $30,000 to support The Women’s Fund. One hundred fourteen people comprised the luncheon’s Honorary Committee; and Academy of the Holy Names, Price Chopper’s Golub Foundation, and C. L. King Inc., each sponsored a table at the event. As part of this event, we collected items to benefit women and children who are victims of domestic violence.
